A Spreadsheet for Lifecycle Cost Analysis of Individual Septic Tank-Soil Absorption and Lagoon Wastewater Treatment Systems

Home wastewater treatment systems are important in protecting the quality of the natural environment that sustains and supports the rural community. The spreadsheet called Present Value of Home Wastewater Treatment Systems (PVHWTS) may be downloaded and used as a planning tool to calculate the ownership and operating costs of a septic tank-soil absorption system, wastewater pond system, or lagoon. These systems, when designed, installed, and maintained properly, remove or breakdown contaminants in wastewater from individual homes, churches, and businesses.
