Our Gardens, Our Home
You will find many specialty
gardens and plant collections that are woven together to create the Kansas
State University Gardens.
Current plant collections included
daylilies, irises and roses. Some future collections will be of peonies
and hostas. Some of the plant collections are used as an element in the
design of the specialty gardens. The daylily and iris collections are
located in the Conservatory Garden, which is part of Phase II, North of the
Historic Conservatory. The rose collection is located directly east of
the Historic Conservatory.
Three specialty gardens are
located in the Visitor Center Garden located south of the Historic
Conservatory and west of the Visitor Center. These gardens are the
Cottage, Butterfly and Native/Adaptive Plant Gardens.
