Discover our past and be a part of our future, that is our motto. From
our rich beginnings during the early 1900's to our ambitious goals for the
future, the KSU Gardens has proven it's ability to withstand the hands of
time.
Why is there an old dairy barn in the gardens you ask? What happened
to the old formal gardens that existed on K-State's campus over 50 years
ago? The answers to all of these questions and more await you.
So, take a peek into our past and share our vision for the future.

The Conservatory, or plant museum, was erected
in 1907 east of Dickens Hall in the location where Bluemont Hall stands today.
It housed unusual plants such as a banana tree and a variegated century plant,
which still exist today.
