Responsibilities:
Woody ornamental research (6 tenths) and extension
(4 tenths). Applied research in the areas of plant propagation and
production of woody landscape plants, as well as cultural practices that
enhance landscape establishment and survival. Conduct trials and
evaluations of trees and shrubs for their adaptability to the
physiological stresses imposed by the climate of south-central Kansas.
Direct the 120 acre John C. Pair Horticultural
Center near Wichita, which serves as an off-campus research station to
the faculty in the Department of Horticulture, Forestry & Recreation
Resources. |
